Memoir as Discovery

Description

What can you discover inside what you already know? Author Richard Hoffman tells us, "The story you want to write down is not the real story. The real story is the one you discover during the writing." Join us for three evening sessions of hands-on writing to explore your important places, your important people. Take some new tools home to open up a story or book project for yourself and your readers.

Sessions:

1. Memory explores place and voice. A writing session.

2. Peopling the landscape, including the unpeople. A writing session.

3. Voice and associations move memoir across time and space. A writing session and sharing.

All sessions will be held via the internet. PWSC Copper Basin will provide participants with an active link to the class. Internet access and a reasonably robust internet speed/capacity is required. For more information, contact PWSC Copper Basin at 907-822-3673.

This class is sponsored in part by Valdez United Way.
