Beginning Fur Sewing- Valdez

Description

This class will introduce students to the basics of fur sewing: selecting and preparing furs, choosing and customizing patterns, basic sewing, lining, and finishing. Each student will make one major project, either a trapper style hat, mittens, or parka ruff.  Class will be approximately 20% lecture, 20% demonstration, 60% individual work time with one-on-one instruction. Students will probably need to do some sewing between classes to finish their projects. No experience necessary, appropriate for ages 16 and up.

Thursday, October 24, 6-8:30 p.m.

Friday, November 8, 6-8:30 p.m.

Saturday, November 9, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Sunday, November 10, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
